"Phenomenal doesn’t explain it; hard to find words to explain the feeling of flying. I feel like a cross between Astro Boy and Ironman."

From the moment my mates and I rocked up for the Flyboard we were excited. Our instructor Peter gave us our safety briefing; You really need this section and to ask questions. We then went out into the water, were suited up with wetsuits life jackets and helmet, then feet strapped into the Flyboard. The water was freezing, apparently, but we wouldn’t have known as the adrenalin was starting to pump. No mucking around now. Slight power was applied to the throttle by Peter Hendra and I began pushing through the water with ease. All the while getting coached on performing various manoeuvres, left turns, right turns, what happens when you tilt your feet forward or tilt them back (heels down), roll onto your back – remember that one. After about 5 minutes I heard “OK I want you to tilt your feet back and lift out of the water”. The revs increased and next thing I knew I could see my torso, then legs and finally feet raising out of the water. Watching the water disappear from beneath you and be able to hover and then begin to move was totally amazing. Phenomenal doesn’t explain it; hard to find words to explain the feeling of flying. I feel like a cross between Astro Boy and Ironman. Then it just got better, if that was possible. Best investment I’ve ever made. Even if you don’t have PWC, do the training, you won’t regret it and rave about for like, ever.  Few more hours and I’ll be carving up the Skies with the best of them, maybe.  Thanks Peter and Dale. Totally wicked. Awesome.  Oh Yeah, I’m not what you would call little, 187cm, 110kilograms and on the far side of the 40’s.   Andrew Maloney, Adelaide, South Australia.
